Oxford cloth is named after the University of Oxford in the UK, and was originally a traditional combed cotton fabric used for the uniforms of students at that university. The most prominent feature of traditional Oxford fabric is the color warp and white weft, double warp and single weft, 2/2 double flat weave, and clear color dot effect on the fabric surface. Now it has become a new type of fabric with diverse functions and wide applications. Currently, there are mainly varieties on the market, such as plaid, full stretch, nylon, and tigrid.
a. Oxford cloth: specially used for making various types of luggage
The fabric uses polyester FDY150D/36F for both warp and weft threads. The fabric is interwoven with plain weave on a water jet loom, with a warp and weft density of 360X210. After being treated with relaxation, alkalinity, dyeing, anti-static, coating, etc., the grey fabric has advantages such as light and thin texture, soft hand feel, good waterproofing, and good durability.
b. Nylon Oxford fabric: mainly used for making flood and rain prevention products
The warp thread of this fabric is made of 200D nylon air spun yarn, and the weft thread is made of 160D nylon air spun yarn. It is a plain weave structure, and the product is woven by water spraying. After dyeing, finishing, and coating processes, the grey fabric has advantages such as soft feel, strong drapability, novel style, and waterproof performance. The fabric has a glossy effect of nylon silk on the surface. Due to its excellent quality and novel designs, it is deeply loved by users.
c. Fully bulleted Oxford cloth: mainly used for making luggage
The fabric is made of polyester DTY300D yarn with warp and weft threads, and is interwoven with a coarse dot change permeable weave on a water jet loom. After the fabric is relaxed and refined, pre formed, alkali reduced, and soft and set, the reverse side of the fabric is then treated with a rubber plastic polyester layer. Its delicate texture, soft luster, and good waterproof performance make the bags made from this product a fashionable and trendy pet pursued by women.
d. Tig Oxford cloth: mainly produces various bags and suitcases
The fabric uses polyester DTY400D network silk for warp and polyester DTY silk 400D for weft. The texture is woven using a tig weave on a water jet (with a faucet) loom. The fabric has a novel design and unique craftsmanship, with prominent plaid patterns on the front and strong three-dimensional sense, making it the most prominent part of the fabric. At the same time, a coating (PU) process is also used on the back, making it more waterproof and more drapable. It is a fashionable material for making various bags.
e. Weft Oxford fabric: mainly used for making various bags and suitcases
The fabric is made of polyester FDY68D/24F for warp and FDY150D/36F for weft. The weaving process is interwoven with weft lifting strips in water jet weaving (with multi arm faucet). The fabric strip is clear, integrating modernity, artistry, and drapery. After dyeing, embossing, or rolling, grey fabric has the advantages of strong sagging and good waterproof properties.
