The European Standard was formulated by Technical Committee 120 (Non woven Bags) of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN/TC120), with the Secretariat of the Committee held by the Netherlands Institute for Standardization (NNI).
This standard is one of a series of standards for rescue food transport bags formulated in accordance with the requirements of the Council of the European Communities (CEC).
This standard replaces EN277:1989.
This European Standard shall become a national standard by the publication of the same document or recognition by October 1995 at the latest, and any national standard that conflicts with this Standard shall also be abolished by October 1995 at the latest.
According to the CEN/CENELEC internal regulations, the following countries are obliged to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
